On Functional Translation Theory

中国传统翻译理论只有宏观的论述,缺乏方法论,操作性不强。本文简述了功能翻译理论,探讨了该理论的要点,并介绍了它的方法论,进而对中国的传统翻译理论进行了补充。

Chinese traditional translation theory consists only of translation principles without concrete methodology and it cannot be applied to practical translation.This paper gives a brief account to functional translation theory and probes into its main points.It also makes an introduction to its methodology.In this way,it supplements Chinese traditional translation theory.
