The Spring Bud Plan, which is sponsored by the China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF), has collected more than 500 million yuan since its implementation in 1989. The purpose of the plan is to help girls return to school. There are girls' classes of Spring Bud and primary schools of Spring Bud across 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in the country and, in order to make the children grasp practical skills, a training program has been launched. More than 1.35 million 'drop-out girls' have benefited from the plan.
"春蕾计划"是1989年中国儿童少年基金会发起并组织实施的一项救助贫困地区失学女童重返校园的社会公益事业。自实施以来,在社会各界的关心和支持下,募集资金5亿多元,已经在全国30个省区市开办"春蕾女童班",捐建"春蕾小学",为了使孩子们学习掌握一两门实用技能,又实施了春蕾计划实用技术培训项目。截止到目前,全国共救助失学女童135万人次,以小学生为基础,形成了初中生、高中生、大学生梯队分布的格局。
