城市交通作为城市基础设施是城市现代化建设的重点和关键,而公共交通又是城市交通中优先发展的方面。城市现代化和城市公交现代化之间是互为因果、互相促进的关系,二者应该同步协调发展。本文着重从首都城市公共交通现代化的背景和环境分析入手,简言城市公共交通现代化的主要特征及其评价指标应考虑的重点方面,进而提出首都城市公共交通基本现代化的构想。

As a key component in city infrastructureconstruction, public transportation should enjoy priority inurban modernization. City modernization and publictransportation modernization are mutually related andcomplementary, they should be coordinated. This paperbegan with the background of capital public transportationmodernization and environment analysis, summarized themain characteristics of its modernization and assessmencriteria, proposed a basic conception of Beijing publictransportation modernization.
