Based on a preliminary study on the geotemperature situation of the Panxie mine in the Huainan coalfield the extent of geotemperature anomaly and the distribution of Ⅰ-degree and Ⅱ-degree high-temperature districts at the footwall of the seam No.13-1 have been delimited and a discussion has been made on the control factors of low-temperature field It is indicated that basement rolling is related to groundwater activity, especially the Carbonaceous-Ordovician limestone karst fissure water that serves as the major factor controlling low temperature field
