Usually,the longitudinal PIis used to evaluate the developmentlevel of one kind of transporta- tion mode.But the transverse PI presented here advances the former PI and is proved more general and reasonable.The definition and formulas were introduced in the thesis.The new PI is testified to be opera- ble and applied through one example.
