摘要
A block difference compression algorithm based on block PSNR, Which is one of the parameters of image quality is presented for image sequence processing. This algorithm adopts classical JPEG method in intra-frame coding, and processes 8×8 blocks of inter-frame with different methods depending on the results from the current PSNR compared with a threshold. The calculation of threshold and the situation of error accumulation based on different thresholds as well as the structure of code stream are also presented. The advantage of this algorithm is the reduction of the large operation volume during inter-frame processing.
