摘要
使用上海天文台的 1.5 6m望远镜和Series 2 0 0CCD照相机发现Hale -Bopp彗星于 1996年 4月2 1日至 4月 2 3日期间有一次爆发 ,4月 2 2日彗星星等比前一天增亮了 0 .2mag ,但一天后其亮度又大致恢复原来的亮度。这段时间内 ,彗头的半强度处的直径也有相应的变化。
A burst of comet Hale-Bopp on 1996 April 22 was observed with the 1.56 m telescope and Series 200 CCD camera system. The white light magnitudes of the comet on Apr. 22 was about 0.2 magnitudes brighter than that on Apr. 21, it also returned to normal brightness in the next night. The FWHM of the comet head also varied correspondingly.
