作于1963年末到1964年末的《笑西尼》、《哭东尼》、《哭自己》都是组曲。赵朴初用生动幽默的曲词,把肯尼迪、尼赫鲁、赫鲁晓夫反华丑态,刻画得淋漓尽致,对他们的反华行径予以痛斥。既表现他的创作才华,也表现了他坚定的政治立场。

ZHAO Pu-chu's poems Someone Once Cried Three Times,including three short poems,published in People's Daily in 1964,was written in humorous style and with vivid portrait of Kennedy's actions against China. These poems also gave bitter attack to those who regarded China as an enemy and the writer expressed his own firm and right political stand.
