摘要
作为普遍开设的语言实践课之一,报刊英语是一门受到英语学习者普遍欢迎的课程,但是由于标题英语与日常英语的不同,使得大多数英语学习者很难读懂英美报刊。在教学中应向学生介绍标题英语的词汇特点、语法特点、修辞特点以及标点符号的妙用。
As one of the language practical courses offered widely at collgeg, newspaper English is very popular with English learners. However, most of them have much difficulty in understanding while reading British & American newspapers because of the differences between English titles and everyday English, This essay aims at discussing the characteristics of title English about its features in words, grammar, rhetoric and in the use of punctuation marks.
