The multi-billion-yuan Knowledge InnovationProgram (KIP) introduced by the Chinese Academyof Sciences (CAS), the first of its kind in China, hasbeen of considerable interest to both the scienhficcommunity and the general public since it wasratified by the central authorities in 1998. So how,then, is CAS getting on with the program? A recentreport assures that the KIP has scored encouragingachievements.
