The Relationship between YAN Fu's Opinions on Lib- erty and Thoughts of LAOZI and ZHUANGZI

严复的自由思想在近代中国社会是一种振聋发聩的人的自我觉醒。就其思想源泉来说，它固然来自西方，但是，严复在老庄思想中，发现了与之相沟通的部分。严复继承、发扬和改造了老庄的自由精神，有力地论证了个人自由和政治自由的观点。

YAN Fu's thoughts on liberty is a self-arousal which can awaken the deaf in neoteric China. Although his idea's headspring lies in the West, YAN Fu finds out that he has many equals with LAOZI and ZHUANGZI's philosophy, and he inherits, develops and rebuilds their liberal spirits and demonstrates his opinions on individual liberty and political fiberty.
