Wang Yangming′s “the Unity of Knowledge and Action” and Others

知与行的关系本来就是不可分的，无论在中国的古代，还是现代。中国古人对知、行的界定不同于我们之处，在于知与行不仅仅是认知领域的范畴，同样也是道德修养的范畴。王阳明的“知行合一”，只有从这一意义上去理解才是惟一正确的。简单地认定“行先知后”是唯物主义经验论，“知先行后”是唯心主义先验论，是错误的。

It is the relationship between knowledge and action that cannot be divided originally, no matter when it is in the ancient time or in the modern time. It is different between chinese forefathers and us about the definition on the knowledge and action. They think knowledge and action lie in not only recogniving fields, but also moral training. Only is it right in this sense to understand Wang Yang-ming's 'the unity of knowledge and action'. To simply affirm that 'action prior to knowledge' is materialism empricism, and'knowledge prior to action' is ideal ism apriorism.
