This paper studies the living conditions and mental state of the late Ming Dynasty woman, based on the essay that was given to one's mother as birthday present and funeral orations written by the literai of that times. The woman kept playing the traditional role of daughter - in - law and the rote of mothers, but, on the other hand, they demonstrated clearly the humanity and personality of the modem world, holding clearly themselves along from life and cultivating noble dispeition.
