By pondering on the Chinese traditional culture, this paper analyzes Mr. Wei Zhengtong's thought of the cultural philosophy, one of the world\|famous critics of Chinese history of philosophy. Again it presents his ideological transition from a Confucian to a liberalist, revealing his philosophic outlook of combining ethics, democracy and science together. Finally, this paper comments on his thought's contribution to the 20th century westernized cultural philosophy in China and the shortcomings of his philosophy.
