江泽民同志关于“三个代表”的重要学说，是我党建设史上的一个重要里程碑。党要始终代表最广大 人民的根本利益，是我们一切工作的行动指南。本文试从切实加强民主建设、基层党组织建设和领导干部的 廉政建设等三个方面，具体论述了处于世纪之交的高校党组织如何进一步增强党的宗旨观念，促进高校的改 革和发展的问题。

The theory of 'Three Representatives created by President Jiang Zemin is a significant milestone in the construction of the Communist Party of China. The Party is the representative of people' s interests, which should become the guide of any of the Party's actions. This paper, through a discussion on the construction of democracy, grassroot organizations and clean governments at all levels, deals with the further reinforcement of the consciousness of the Party ' s principles in the organizations of CPC in colleges and universities.
