ELT is an organic process that is influenced by avariety of factors.These break down into two types:explicit,which is objective and the other is implicit,which is subjective.This paper argues that subjectivefactors are subordinated to objective ones.Of the lat-ter,the Society factor,followed by the Subject andStudent factors in importance,is the central one thatdetermines the teaching process.
