当代西方国家“第三条道路”评析

A Comment on "the Third Route" of the Western Countries in the Present Age

“第三条道路”是当代美国民主党和英国工党等欧美左翼政党为解决全球化时代所面临的国内外问题而提出的政治理论主张，它主要体现在政府调控与市场机制、经济发展与社会公正、国家利益与国际合作等方面的平衡上。这种社会思潮在当代的兴起，顺应了冷战后资本主义国家社会、政治、经济、文化等新的发展变化的需要，也是对全球经济一体化的反应。中产阶级的扩大为“第三条道路”的兴起奠定了社会基础，为中左翼政党扩大政治影响并上台执政发挥了重要作用。目前，“第三条道路”尚未形成完整严谨的理论体系，还须实践的检验。

The Third Route' is a proposition in political theory put forward by such left wing parties in Europe and America as the Democratic Party of the United States and the Labour Party of the United Kingdom to solve the problems inside and outside their countries in the universal time. It exists in the balances between the government control and the market mechanism,between the economic development and the social justice, the national interest and the international cooperation,etc. This social trend of thought came into being in the contemporary age to meet the needs of the new development and changes of the capitalist countries after the cold war in society ,politics,economy,culture and so on. It was also a reaction to the universal unity in econo- my.The expansion of the middle class laid the social foundation for the existence of 'the Third Route',and played and important part in spreading the middle and the left wing parties'influence and their coming to pow- er.At present ,'the Third Route'is pot yet a complete and exact theoretical system and needs examination in practice.
