Mark Twain was sole, incomparable, the Lincoln of American Literature. His novels demonstrate his preference realism to romanticism. by means of providing in them with his own experiences, regional stories and tales of the life of Americans. and of criticizing seriously those who lead a romantic life and those who insist on romanticism writing.
