汉语带空位主语话题句的英语翻译研究

A research on translation of pragmatically omitted subject in topicalized sentences

针对学生对于话题和主语概念的模糊,在汉译英时往往将汉语话题句句首名词性成分都当做主语来翻译,旨在解决中国学生在学习外语时受母语影响而造成的翻译错误。汉语话题化句空位主语的性质属于"语用空语类"范畴,是一种省略主语的现象。我们认为,根据语境,通过"还原"和"结构转换"等方法得到正确的译文。

In response to the confusion of topic and subject,the paper is aimed to solve the mistakes in translating,which is caused by the influence of Chinese language-Chinese learners view all the initial NP arguments as subjects.The paper first explores the nature of the omitted NP arguments of subject in the topic sentences,which is classified as ＂pragmatically empty category＂ and considered as the ＂ellipsis of the subject＂.Then according to the context,the correct translation can be achieved by means of ＂lexically recovered＂,＂structure conversion＂ and etc.
