Due to the social and cultural differences between the East and West,the schemata activated by discourse information are different.Communicators involved may interpret the same discourse information differently according to the related cultural schemata in their own cognitive contexts.Cultural schema is an important factor in restricting the understanding of discourse.In-depth analysis and excavation of the influence of cultural schemata will help us to infer the speaker＇s meaning in communication smoothly.
