Taking caustic soda and PVC for examples, this paper describes the current situation and trend of chlor-alkali industry in China Mainland, including the capacity,output, process proportion, export, market, etc. of caustic soda and the capacity, output, and the amount of import and export of PVC. The production situation of PVC from ethylene and calcium carbide and the developmet prospects of PVC are also introduced.
