本文介绍了第三代移动通信的无线传输技术与网络标准化研究的最新进展 ,其中包括国内外第三代移动通信标准化组织的情况 ,以及最近的ITU RTG8/ 1会议和 3GPP会议有关标准化研究的新成果 .

The recent developments in standardization of the radio transmission technology (RTT) and network of the third generation mobile communication systems are introduced in this paper,with emphasis on the organization structures of ITU、3GPP and CWTS,and the achievements obtained at 16 th ,17 th meetings of ITU R TG8/1 and 7 th meeting of 3GPP.
