摘要
Through analysis of the mechanism of lumbar intervertebral disc intrusion, such as mechanical oppression, chemical nerve root inflammation and auto immunity theory, the author believes that the options for the therapy depend on different pathological phases. He also discusses how to select the different therapiesespecially the nonoperation therapy, like manipulation, medicine injection, TCM herbs for oral medication. 46 cases of prolapsed lumbar intervertebral disc were treated with the non operation therapy. The excellent result was obtained in 30 cases, and the improved result in 16. The average time for the treatment was 3 weeks, with the minimum being 1 week and the maximum 6 weeks.
