An ultraluminous IRAS galaxy sample has been observed at 20cm using the Australia Compact Array (AT). The far infrared luminosity in the sample, log L FIR (L ⊙), is>11 8 ( H 0=50 km s -1 Mpc -1 , q 0=0 5 ). (Radio emission is detected from 19 sources among 37 IRAS galaxies. The radio parameters, for example, peak position, radio flux, etc, are obtained. The radio power P 20cm in the sample is in the range 22 9< log P 20cm (W/Hz) <23 8. The paper presents the preliminary observational results on the sample at 20cm.
