爱国主义与社会主义在本质上是一致的。争取社会进步，实现民族振兴和国家富强是贯穿于中国革命中的一条爱国主义的主线。爱国主义与社会主义相结合，是历史发展的必然结果。热爱社会主义是当代爱国主义的最高表现，从爱国主义到社会主义是一条必由之路，同样也是当代青年的一条必由之路。

Patriotism and socialism are essentially the same. To strive for the social progress and realize the nation'srejuvenating and prosperity is the main patriotical line which goes through Chinese revolution. The unification ofpatriotism and socialism is the ineuitable result ofhistory development. To love socialism is the highest expressionof present patriolism; from patriolism to socialism is an inevitable road, as well as the rood that the contemporaryyouth must follow
