摘要
In this paper, the types of synchronization errors of HDLC protocol are defined and equations for evaluating the performance of frame synchronization are derived. The probabilities of synchronization errors are calculated with these equations. Since the synchronization errors are highly related to the average error rate of the channel, their calculations are the precondition of choosing optimal error control technique in order to maintain a high throughput of the communication channel.
