21世纪需要什么样的外语人才──从大学英语四、六级考试的负面影响谈起

What Kind of Personnel of Foreign Languages are Needed in the 21st Century?──An Issue Beginning with the Negative Effects of CET-4 and CET-6

CET在社会上越来越热的时候，高校对CET却产生了要求降温的呼吁。该文作者根据多年大学英语教学实践与经验，在肯定CET在大学外语教学中的积极作用的同时，就CET的负面影响提出了自己的见解，阐述了CET目前在我国大学外语教学的现状与问题，并提出改革思路与建议，进而指出我国大学外语教学的改革势在必行。

Based on years of teaching experienes,this paper puts forward the negative effect of CET onthe college English teaching in China, and gives a description of the present-day English teaching andstates the problems we are facing. In additlon,the author comes up with valuable suggestions and reformpoIicies in English teaching and points out that something should be done on the reform of English teaching at college.
