The comparison of discourse patterns and English reading teaching

英语阅读不同于母语阅读,除了语言障碍和背景知识的差异和欠缺外,英汉两种语篇模式的差异也是影响学生全面、正确理解英语语篇的一个重要原因。本文拟通过对英汉语篇模式差异的对比分析,揭示英汉语篇模式的不同点,旨在对大学英语阅读教学有一定的指导意义和对学生提高英语阅读理解能力有所帮助。

English reading is different from the mother tongue,in addition to the language barriers and the differences and the lack of background knowledge,the differences of the discourse patterns are also affecting the students’ comprehension.Through analyzing and comparing the differences of the discourse patterns,this paper hopes it will help the English reading teaching and improve the students’ English reading comprehension.
