思想品德教育在素质教育中处于核心地位。大学生思想品德素质的培养，要以思想品德教育知识的掌握为基础，以形成坚定的道德信念为核心，进行思想道德能力的训练为重点，以人格品质的塑造为目标。围绕培养大学生思想品质这一中心任务，必须进一步改革“两课”教学，发挥实践活动的思想教育功能。
