On the basis of absorbing and summarizing the achievements in the previous researches of our forefathers, this article thoroughly discusses the impact of emotion on literary and artistic creation. The paper holds that literary and artistic creation is aesthetic one with emotion as its character. Emotion plays a positive and important role in artists' creation, inspiration, aesthetic behavior, contents of works and artistic career. The emotion in literary and artistic creation is the unity of perceptual and rational response. Therefore discussion on the impact of emotion on literary and artistic creation is important in helping readers to have a deep understanding of the nature and character of literary and artistic creation.
