国家自然科学基金委员会开展“十五”优先资助领域战略研究工作

National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)De-velops Strategic Research for Priority-setting During the Period of the Tenth-five Plan

国家自然科学基金委员会已于1998年底正式启动“十五”优先资助领域的遴选工作。“十五”优先资助领域的遴选工作将在多年基金资助工作的基础上,坚持“有限目标”,突出重点,从适应国家长远需求和促进基础研究发展出发,以科学问题为导向,采取专家咨询与政治决策相结合的方式,并将切实保障优先资助领域的实施。

NSFC started its priority-setting during the tenth-five plan period by the end of 1998. Basing on funding practice in the past years, The priority-setting will insist on'limited aims, highlightened focuses' . It must put its standing-point on both meeting the national long-term needs and promoting the development of basic research. Oriented by scientific issues, combining scientists consultation with political de-cisions , NSFC will enforce the development of prior funding areas during the tenth-five plan period through practical means. 'The 21st century scientific core issues forum' is the main way for the selections of prior funding areas of NS-FC.
