军队的精神文明如何走在全社会前列?新年伊始,我们带着这个问题访问了四川省军区政委耿全礼少将。提起军队精神文明建设,耿政委侃侃而谈。他说,党的十五大和十四届六中全会《决议》,都要求军队"在精神文明建设中努力走在全社会前列"。

People's Liberation Army of China is founded and led by Chinese Communist Party.It shoulders the tasks duties to people wholehertedly.The duties and aim of PLA determine that PLA should take the lead in cultural and ideological progress.It is also the objective requirement of self-improvement. Sichuan Provincial Military Command is the bridge connecting the army and local authorities and People.Political commissar Geng Quanli of Sichuan Provincial Military Command holds that SPMC should make great efforts in the following four aspects.Firstly,officers and soldiers should learn Deng Xiaoping's Theory,taking the lead in strengthening ideological prop.Secondly,officers and soldiers should be educated with revolutionary outlook on life and patriotism, taking the lead in fostering noble sentiment.Thirdly,officers and soldiers should take the lead in upgrading scientific and cultural qualities.Fourthly,officers and soldiers should take the lead in ckeating active and wholesome cultural life. Furthermore,PLA should learn from the people. Sichuan Provincial Military Command has put forward the guideline for the ideological drive and put it into practicve.Political commissar Geng is confident that with the efforts from all leaders,officers and soldiers,the army is sure to take the lead in cultural and ideological progress of the whole society.
