After being degreased with acetone, the feInal gonad of Chlamys (Azumapecten)farreri was extracted with watr, and then subjected to DEAE - cellulose column chromatogrphyy and pu-rified by Sephadex G - 100 chromatography to obain a pure female gonad glycoprotein (FGGP). The IRspectra, electrophoresis and chemical analysis of FGGP indicated tha it was a kind of acid glycoproteinand that the content of total protein and sugar were 54. 8% and 40%, respectively. Pharmacological testsshawd that FGGP could inhibit (inhibition rate of 40. 87% ) the growth of Sarorna 180 of mice.
