Although we may not realize it, all of us communicate with one another nonverbally, as well as with words. We gesture with eyebrows or hands, meet someone else's eyes and look away, etc. These actions are not random and incidental, there is a system to them almost as consistent and comprehensible as language. But different peoples have different ways of making nonverbal communication, and therefore the studying of the paralinguistic feature of different nations should be of help in further understanding of what the speaker has said in the cross cultural communication. It is certainly true that paralinguistic features can generally make communication better and easier.
