Implementing continental scientific drilling in China is of great scientific significance, and is an inspiring major scientific project for promoting the rapid development of the economy and society of China. It is a prerequisite for earth science research to obtain major progress, and can bring along the development of other branches of science, engineering and technology, and to form high-tech industries.
