The roast reaction kinetics of bastnasite concentrate mixture with ten percent sodium carbonate was studied by means of thermal analysis. The apparent activation energy and reaction order are determined 183.6 kJ/mol and 0.82 respectively by the thermogravimetry curve; and 176.6 kJ/mol and 0 61 respectively by means of the differential thermal analysis curve.
