摘要 The principles of X-ray Non-destructive testing (NDT) for steel wire ropes buried in conveyer belt is described in the paper. The mathematical model for calculating the effective cross section of wire ropes has been developed. The test data on steel wire rope samples of various types are presented,which have been compared with the National Standard. And this calculation model for the effective cross section is very important to the prediction system for transverse failure of conveyer belt.
