摘要 This paper provides a survey of selection of most common existing temporal models for multimedia synchronization, which are based on CSP, CCS, path expressions, and Petri net. Multimedia refers to the integrated generation, representation, processing, storage, and dissemination of information expressed in multiple time dependent and time independent media such as data, text, graphics, images, audio, and video. Synchronization assures a temporal order of events, which is a well-studied topic in the area of operating systems, parallel programming languages, and database technology.
