旅顺是海路咽喉,在明与后金的战争中处于极为重要的战略地位。明与后金为争夺旅顺进行了反复较量,最终以后金的胜利而告终。后金占据旅顺,解除了后顾之忧,并在军事上取得了主动权;明朝丧失了旅顺,使第二战线失去了基本保证,在军事上陷入极大的被动。

Lushun is a throat by sea , which was a very important strategic position in war between the Ming Dynasty and the Latter Jin Dynasty. The Latter Jin Dynasty occupied Lushun , removed trouble back at home and won the military initiative. The Ming Dynasty lost Lushun so that the second battle line lost the basic guarantee , thus militarily landing in a much passive position.
