The strategies of vectors which are responsible for the dissemination and dispersal of parasites are shown to be a particular case of a more general bio ecological phenomenon: the dissemination and dispersion of propagulae. Plant pollinization seed dispersal and parasite dissemination involve similar ecological relationships and the conservation of energy.
