The microstructure of the interface of the explosively welded titanium steel composite which were subjected to heat treatments at 1 023 and 1 273 K was investigated by using optical microscopy and electron probe microanalysis.The diffusion paths at 1 023 and 1 273 K were constructed and interpreted by means of the a cY Ti  phase diagram assuming that local equilibrium is established at all the phase boundaries.
