浅论毛泽东对中西体育思想的融摄发扬和创新

On Mao's Achieving Mastery and Developing of Both Chinese and Western Physical Education Thought

毛泽东思想是马列主义在中国的运用和发展，同时也是中国几千年文明与智慧的继承与发扬。对于中西文化，毛泽东历来主张：“古为今用，洋为中用。”毛泽东对体育十分重视，不仅有大量的体育实践，又有理论上的探讨。毛泽东的体育思想是毛泽东思想的组成部分，是集中西文化的精华，并加以发展创新熔铸而成。我们应学习继承他对待中西文化的态度。

Mao Zedong Thought is the practice and development of MarxismLeninism as well as the result of several thousand years of Chinese civilization and wisdom. Concerning the Chinese and western cultures, Mao Zedong always held that “Make the past serve the present and foreign things serve China.”He devoted much attention to sports; he not only practiced a lot personally, but also did theoretic work. His sports theory is a component part of Mao Zedong Thought and the essence of the Chinese and western cultures. We should study the theory, adopt a positive attitude as Mao Zedong did towards Chinese and western cultures, and make contribution to the development of socialist sports with Chinese characteristics.
