薏苡仁配合放射治疗晚期鼻咽癌的初步观察

Preliminary Clinical results of advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma treated with a combinaton of irradiation and seed of coix

薏苡仁配合放射治疗晚期鼻咽癌１８例。放疗后３个月复查。原发灶全部消退１７例，残留１例，直径大于１０ｍｍ；颈淋巴结转移灶完全消失１６例，残留２例，均小于１０ｍｍ。ＶＣＡ－ＩＧＡ转阴率７５％（１２／１６）。未发现远处转移。

cases of advanced(stagesⅢ and Ⅳ )nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)received radiotherapy combined with seed of coix. The primary and metastatic carcinomas(in cervical lymph nodes)disappeared completely 3 months after radiation in 17and 16patients respectively.The residual tumor in nasophyarynx was founded in one case,with >10mm in diameter.The remnants in cervical lymph nodes were observed in 2patients,each diameter was less than 10mm. IgA against Epsten-Barr virus(EBV)capsid antigen(VCA-IgA) in 13 of 16 patients with positive conversed negative. All patients had no evidence of distant metastases.Acute reactions toirradiation were not reduced.The results suggest that seed of coix may increase susceptibility of NPCto radiation and/or directly suppress this tumor.
