Integrative device of unifying metal refining with continuous casting

本文提出了一种将金属精炼和连铸两道工序结合在一起的金属精炼—连铸一体化装置。其特点是连铸机的结晶器直接与精炼炉连接,在精炼金属的同时或于精炼之后立即进行连铸。使用这种精炼—连铸一体化装置能够提高铸坯的纯净度。通过精炼和连铸的直径5mm断面铸坯的热态试验结果表明,精炼炉与连铸机实现一体化,在技术上是可行的。

An integrative device of unifying metal refining process with continuous casting was offered in this paper. The integrative device is characterized by the immediate contact between the continuous casters' mould and metal refining unit and carrying out continuous casting at the same time of metal refining or after it immediately. With this integrative device, the cleanness of billets can be improved. The results of hot running test through 5mm round billet refined and continuous casted by this integrative device has shown that it is possible in technology to integrate the metal refining unit with continuous caster.
