To Eastern Europe, 1997 will be another year of constant political turbulence.For those countries which held their parliamentary elections or presidential electionsin 1996, namely Albania, Czech Republic, Romania and Bulgaria, political strug-gle will linger on. For other countries like Poland, Hungary and Slovakia, it wouldbe a busy year to prepare for the 1998 parliamentary elections.
