AIM To study the influence of diet intake on the result of liver function test. METHODS Blood samples from liver diseases ( n =100) and non liver diseases ( n =100) were taken at 07:00 in the morning (fasting state) and two hours after meal. Using Hitach 7150 automatic biochemistry analyser, ten liver function indexes (SB, TTT, ALT, AST, ALP, LDH, γ-GT, SP, A and G) were examined. RESULTS According to the SAS software system the differences were not significant between fasting state and after meal ( P =0 476-0 978). CONCLUSION Liver function test can be performed after meal.
