This paper briefly reminisced the development course of 150 Diesel En- gine and generalized present development status on powerpacks of tanks in the world today. Several viewpoints of continuing development of the 150 Diesel Engine are presented in the paper. The author,by comparison and analysis,recommends that it be preferential to retain or advisably reduce the cylinder bore of the engine on the consideration of resultant comstraints and high comoactness, pointing out that la is the best but ephemeral chance that should be caught firmly in pursuing the world' sadvanced level in engine technoligies.
