In the thermal simulation of modern pine pollens the different yields of lighter hydrocarbons occured at each temperature point during thermal degradation.It was indicated from the research results that the lighter aromatic hydrocarbons were mainly alkylphenols,alklbenzenes and polycyclic aromatics compound series.The former two were probably derived from the precursors with the units of phenol or aromatic ring in sporopollen cytoplasms and walls;the latter mainly originated from the aromatizational β carrotenes which the sporopollenines in the outter walls of sporopollens were composed of.The detectation of the aromatic compounds mentioned above provides direct evidence for the origin of molecular biomarkers from continental,especially coal formed oils.
