This paper mainly describes the features of mineralization and crystal growth of Iceland spars from Mashan deposit Combined with the geological background of the region,the mineralization is divided into four stages and two genetic types of Iceland spars are suggested One crystallizes directly and grows from ore forming solution in the vugs;and the another maybe formed from preexisting calcites,which usually occurs near the sides of brecciated calcite megacrysts
