The results of the calculation and experiments in this study showed that the oprating pressure was a main factor affecting on the rate of freeze-drying. In the ranye of certain pressure the rate of freeze drying increased as the operating pressure was increased . In the same range of pressure, the freeze drying rate under the cyclical pressure was higher than that of the constant pressure. When the amplitude of cyclical pressure was extended. the drying rate was faster. And . the effect of period of cyclical pressure on the drying rateeeee was insignificat.
